HTML Cheat Sheet

Learning HTML is not scary, and it is vital to have a basic understanding if you want to control the way your content appears in posts and pages. Embedding videos, adding click-able images to widget sidebars, deleting paragraphs and line breaks, designing fancy blog post introductions, dropping in Google Maps on an “About Page” or linking to your site from social networking profile pages that allow HTML are a few examples. A WordPress blog has two different editor screens for writing new pages or posts: HTML and Visual. We can leverage this to create things the way we want them to appear in the visual editor, and then switch to the HTML editor and use the code it generates. This is a great shortcut to cheat your way through getting the HTML code and will also help you to eventually learn the code. Tags or <angel-brackets> define certain actions.
